Modular wastewater treatment plant for municipalities with low or zero energy consumption to cut the operational costs

The project: „Modular wastewater treatment plant for municipalities with low or zero energy consumption to cut operational costs“ under acronyme E-REX is solved with financial support from the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic under programme for supporting applied research and experimental development EPSILON in 2016 - 2018.

The main task of the Project is creating modular municipal wastewater treatment plant for cities and villages with less than 2000 PE (population equivalents) with minimum or zero energy consumption. Small renewable energy sources and accumulation mechanisms will be applied to decrease energy consumption there. The highest operational efficiency and the lowest operational costs will be achieved via application of the control system with optimizing algorithms, predicting systems and data analysis with visual, control and inspection function. The main goal is to offer complex solution for new or retrofitted wastewater treatment plants. The solution will create business opportunities for consortium members and bring cost saving for investors.

Consortium consists of industrial partners - ASIO Ltd. and Teco a.s. and end-user Moravičany City. Research partner is Brno University of Technology.
