Greywater Reuse and Stormwater Utilization in Buildings
The Project „Greywater Reuse and Stormwater Utilization in Buildings“ under acronyme Greywater was solved with financial support from the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic under the programme for support of applied research and experimental development ALFA in 2011 - 2013.
The aim of the project was to prepare a technology of treatment and subsequent reuse of greywater and rainwater for practical marketing to evaluate optimal range of water recycling in different types of buildings and to determine the extent of sanitation (recommended technological equipment) for different types of use. A prototype was made and verified on a specific characteristic object. The output was monitored not only in terms of mechanical properties (for toilet flushing), but also in terms of hygienic properties (for showering). Based on the experience with prototypes and the market research the model range of units on the principle of membrane bioreactor was designed.
