The aim of the project CZ.01.01.01/01/22_002/0000767 is to respond to the proposed amendment of the Urban Waste Water Framework Directive 91/271/EEC, which includes the removal of 13 micropollutants at the outfall of municipal waste water treatment plants.
The aim of the project CZ.01.01.01/01/22_002/0000767 is to respond to the proposed amendment of the Urban Waste Water Framework Directive 91/271/EEC, which includes the removal of 13 micropollutants at the outfall of municipal waste water treatment plants. Advanced oxidation processes appear to be one of the best possible and most economical options for the removal of these micropollutants. Therefore, a semi-operational unit will be constructed that will incorporate the most commonly used advanced oxidation processes (ozonation, combination of hydrogen peroxide and subsequent UV irradiation, as well as innovative applications of UV-LED, ferrates and nano-iron). The implementation of the project will allow to test and select the most efficient technology of the advanced oxidation processes not only in terms of efficiency but also in terms of operating costs.
The project is co-investigated by the RECETOX Centre of Masaryk University in Brno. The project is solved within the Operational Programme of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Technology and Applications for Competitiveness (OP TAK 2021-2027).
