Within the intensification project, the unit’s mechanical pretreatment stage has been extended with highly efficient equipment – SFT FILTER. This is the first operating application of this equipment in the Czech Republic!

The equipment function is based on the principle of an endlessbelt filter with adjustable size mesh; the filter is cleaned with compressed air and hot water, which brings to this WWTP with a highly variable inlet of sewage several essential benefits:
• high efficiency: it removes up to 60% insoluble substances (IS) and 20% COD (chemical oxygen demand) substances,
• equipment capacity is up to 144 m3 per hour (depending on the mesh size),
• undemanding requirements for space: 2.1 m by 1.6 m (plan view).

ASIO, spol. s r.o. has supplied the SF-2000 unit together with the control and actuating system, which enables user-friendly control of the unit over a touch display. It can be expected that the equipment will prove its excellent properties under the operating conditions in the wastewater treatment plant in Pasohlávky and find its use in other plants as well.
