The project “Robotic Application for the Production of Custom Water Management Products” (CZ.01.01.01/01/24_063/0006779) offers a completely innovative approach to the production of custom water management products. By using a robotic 3D printer, we will eliminate manual labor and manufacture both standardized and unique custom-made water management products. After optimizing the production process with binding materials in the form of concrete mixtures and with the use of robotic technologies, significant savings in labor costs can be expected, along with a reduced carbon footprint in the context of improved production quality.
The project will deliver three partial outputs (specifically: Ztech – Verified technology for on-site robotic application in the production of custom water management products; Gfunk – Functional prototype of a construction end-effector for extrudate application; and Gfunk – Functional prototype of a system for large-scale on-site additive construction of underground tank walls). These outputs will be subject to intellectual property protection, creating a competitive advantage for the industrial partner. Production will be validated through the output in the form of an earth filter. Standardized product series will be developed and programmed. The software solution of the outputs will also allow for variations of these series according to specific local conditions, subsoil, or customer requirements. At the same time, atypical shapes can be produced, representing an additional added value of the outputs.
