Low-loaded biological ponds for post-treatment

The Project „Low-loaded biological ponds for post-treatment“ under acronyme Zbytiny was solved with financial support from the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic under programme for support of applied research and experimental development ALFA in 2012 - 2015.

The aim of the project was to implement an option of secondary treatment of wastewater treated at wastewater treatment plants up to 500 PE in innovative low-loaded biological ponds into practice. Applied research was focused on quantification and optimization of processes taking place in low-loaded biological ponds of pilot object (Zbytiny, 500 PE, Šumava) under different climatic and hydraulic conditions.

Consortium consisted of T. G. Masaryk Water Research Institute, ASIO Ltd. and Ing. Vlastimil Jiráň designer’s office.
