The project "Technology of water purification and recycling using plasma and cavitation" is co-financed with the state support of the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic within the TREND 10 Programme. This project is funded under the National Recovery Plan from the European Instrument for Recovery and Resilience.

EU-next generation TAČR NPO

The goal of the project is to design, manufacture and verify the functionality of modern technology for water purification and treatment using an innovative process combining a plasma discharge in a cavitation nozzle - CaviPlasma. The output of the project will be functional samples of equipment for cleaning, treating and recycling water with one or more cavitation nozzles and verified water purification technology, which will be verified in real conditions (min. 6 months) at wastewater treatment plants (WTP) for municipal and industrial wastewater water. In the project, technologies will be optimized for the removal of key organic and microbiological pollution as well as priority micropollutants, which are newly included for monitoring the quality of recycled water (medicines, hormonally active substances, PFAS).

The project is being handled by a consortium of four applicants - companies ASIO TECH spol. s.r.o., Oryx-cz. s.r.o. and universities - BUT Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Brno and Masaryk University - Recetox Center.
